This is a unique method of teaching sight words. The left brain hemisphere stores the name of the word, while the right brain hemisphere stores the picture of the word. To help the student store the name and picture in one unit, we use the powerful method of embedding.

This learning technique shows the students how to use their internal “camera” to take a picture of the word. By using a whole new method of memorization, students effortlessly learn to READ and SPELL these sight words because the imagery on the words causes it to stick in their long term memory. This enables them not only to remember the name of the word, but also to SPELL the word from memory. (Many of your students will easily spell the word forwards and backwards, since they can see it as a picture.)
